The linguocultural concept of love in ajiniyaz’s poetry: philosophical, social and aesthetic dimensions

Love is one of the fundamental emotional and axiological concepts through which literary discourse represents human relationships, moral values, cultural identity, and individual experience. This article investigates the linguocultural conceptualization of MUHABBAT (LOVE) in the lyrical poetry of the nineteenthcentury Karakalpak poet Ajiniyaz. The study aims to reconstruct the internal conceptual organization of love and to determine how individual emotional experience is connected with ethical values, social circumstances, culturalspatial belonging, memory, and the aesthetic representation of the beloved. The research combines conceptual, contextual-semantic, conceptual-metaphorical, linguocultural, and literary methods. The analysis identifies several recurrent conceptual models, including LOVE IS FIRE, LOVE IS ILLNESS, THE BELOVED IS MEDICINE, LOVE IS JOURNEY, and LOVE IS SACRIFICE. The findings demonstrate that Ajiniyaz’s representation of love extends beyond romantic attachment: love functions as a transformative experience associated with courage, patience, fidelity, faith, sacrifice, social constraint, destiny, memory, geographical belonging, and aesthetic evaluation. The study therefore proposes that MUHABBAT functions as a linguocultural macroconcept in Ajiniyaz’s lyricaldiscourse, integrating individual emotion with the ethical, social, existential, spatial-ethnocultural, semiotic, and aesthetic dimensions of Karakalpak poetic culture.
