This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of generative artificial intelligence technologies on the contemporary information and communication environment. The study examines how generative artificial intelligence tools transform information creation, processing, distribution, and consumption. Using systemic, comparative, content-analytical, and conceptual methods, the research explores an emerging model of communicative relations between humans, technology, and information. The findings demonstrate that generative artificial intelligence contributes to automated content creation, information personalization, multimodality, and stronger human–machine collaboration. At the same time, it creates challenges related to information reliability, copyright, authorship, algorithmic bias, data privacy, synthetic content, and media literacy. The article proposes a transformational model of the information and communication environment and describes its technological, communicative, social, and ethical components. The study emphasizes the need to develop artificial intelligence literacy, source verification practices, and critical information evaluation skills. The findings provide a theoretical basis for responsible use of generative technologies in media, education, and scholarly communication.
