The article examines the distribution patterns of vertebrate animals in the main landscapes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, including the Kyzylkum Desert, the Ustyurt Plateau, the Amu Darya Delta, the oasis zone, and the dried seabed of the Aral Sea. Information is provided on the species composition of vertebrates, their adaptations to habitat conditions, and the effects of natural and anthropogenic factors on their distribution. The main directions for the study, monitoring, and conservation of vertebrate animals in the region are identified.
