Инновационно-инвестиционный потенциал нефтегазового комплекса Узбекистана: современное состояние и направления развития

The article examines the current state of the innovation and investment potential of Uzbekistan’s oil and gas complex. The study applies systemic, comparative and statistical methods to official statistical data for 2020-2024. Natural gas production declined from 49.77 to 41.52 billion m³, or by about 16.6%, while oil production fell from 739.4 to 713.1 thousand tonnes. The main directions for attracting investment and introducing innovations aimed at deeper hydrocarbon processing and improving the economic efficiency of the sector are identified. Particular attention is paid to the development of high-tech production and the expansion of higher value-added products. Under these conditions, the development of the sector should rely not on expanding extraction, but on technological modernization, digitalization, deep processing of raw materials and the attraction of private and foreign capital. Priority development directions and their expected results are systematized. Prospective directions for increasing the innovation and investment activity of oil and gas enterprises are substantiated.
