Annotatsiya

This article examines the representation and transformation of Southern literary tendencies in Fannie Flagg’s The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion (2013). The study focuses on family heritage, Southern femininity, domestic traditions, female community, women’s participation in traditionally male spaces, historical change, and the relationship between place and memory. The analysis shows that Flagg draws on established Southern cultural and literary patterns while reinterpreting them through changing gender roles and female agency. Traditional values of family, domesticity, and regional belonging are combined with women's professional activity, collective action, and self-definition. The study argues that the novel presents Southern identity as dynamic, connecting inherited traditions with changing social realities.
