This article analyzes contemporary mechanisms for combating terrorism at international and regional levels, with a particular focus on the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (2006) and its implementation in Central Asian states. The strategy encompasses key areas such as addressing the root causes of radicalization, enhancing international cooperation, cutting financial sources of terrorism, and supporting victims of terrorist acts. The study highlights the role of international institutions such as Interpol, Europol, NATO, the European Union, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in forming a unified counter-terrorism system.
