INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTI-CORROSION COATINGS AND INHIBITORS BASED ON ELECTROCHEMICAL METHODS

This article is devoted to the study of the corrosion process of metals in various aggressive environments and the identification of effective protection strategies. The problem is associated with the reduction of the service life of metal structures and technological equipment due to corrosion, increased operating costs and reduced industrial safety. As part of the research methodology, laboratory experiments, electrochemical monitoring, SEM-EDX analysis of the metal surface, real operational observations and mathematical modeling methods were used. The data were analyzed using statistical methods and the mechanisms of the corrosion process, the effectiveness of coatings and inhibitors were assessed. The main findings showed that polymer coatings enriched with nanoparticles, organic inhibitors and combined electrochemical protection systems effectively protect the metal. The corrosion rate significantly depends on the pH level, ionic composition and temperature of the environment. The results of electrochemical monitoring and structural analysis clearly demonstrated the stability and effectiveness of the protection strategies. The general conclusion is that the results of the study serve as a scientific basis for extending the service life of metal structures, reducing economic losses and improving industrial safety. At the same time, it is recommended to use modern protective technologies and monitor them in real conditions.
