This study investigated the stages of microsporogenesis in winter bread wheat based on cytological analysis and evaluated their relevance to in vitro androgenesis. Cytological analysis identified the prophase, early-, mid-, and latevacuolated uninucleate microspore stages, as well as the binucleate stage.
