In this article, the author reveals the special importance of the collection of legal deposit, which is given in the National Library of Uzbekistan. Currently, there are more than 4 million control copies of printed materials produced in Uzbekistan. The legal deposit is collected to combine publications reflecting the past, to develop libraries, bibliographic and scientific activities.
