Predictive Value of Bioimpedance-Derived Body Composition Parameters in Carbohydrate Metabolism Alterations in Pregnancies After In Vitro Fertilization

Annotatsiya

It was found that body composition parameters play a significant role in the development of carbohydrate metabolism alterations in pregnancies following in vitro fertilization. It was established that bioimpedance-derived indicators, including fat mass percentage and visceral adiposity, demonstrate a higher predictive value than conventional anthropometric measures. These parameters were shown to correlate significantly with blood glucose variations during pregnancy. The evaluated impact revealed that unfavorable body composition patterns contribute to increased metabolic vulnerability in women after in vitro fertilization. The identified regularities indicate that bioimpedance analysis may serve as an effective tool for early metabolic risk stratification. The findings highlight the clinical relevance of integrating body composition assessment into prenatal screening protocols. The presented results support the use of bioimpedance-based evaluation to improve individualized prediction and prevention strategies for metabolic disturbances during pregnancy.
