Annotatsiya

Relevance. Eyes undergoing rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) vitrectomy surgery and tamponade with SM were found to have changes in various areas of the posterior segment vessels, including the macula and optic nerve. A new imaging technology, optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A), allows direct visualization of retinal microcirculation and provides new insights into various pathologies and conditions. Purpose of the study. To review the literature on changes in macular microcirculation during SO tamponade and its removal in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Material and methods. A detailed literature search was conducted in the PubMed, Google Scholar databases until 2024 and 19 articles on the topic were selected. Results. The results of different studies of retinal microcirculation differed from each other. Some authors noted a decrease in macular microcirculation, while others noted an increase in vascular density after 6 months of follow-up. Conclusions. Since the results of the studies are contradictory, this suggests the need for extensive and long-term research in this area in the future.
