Relevance. Traumatic optic neuropathy (TON) is a “disturbance of visual functions due to direct or indirect damage to the optic nerve as a result of traumatic exposure.” Purpose of the study. Evaluation of the effect of ongoing treatment on the state of retinal electrogenesis in patients with injuries of the zygomatic-orbital complex. Materials and methods. For the period 2020–2021 35 patients (35 eyes) were examined with early and late treatment, after a closed injury of the organ of vision. The average age of patients is 32+4. Results and conclusion. The analysis of the conducted studies showed that already in the early stages of the pathology, the macular zone of the retina is involved in the process. These deviations in the early post-traumatic period indicate the initial functional inhibition of the cone-rod system. Analysis of the results of electrophysiological studies indicates that during treatment in the 1st and 2nd main groups, a significant positive effect of the treatment on the functional state of the retina, especially ganglion cells, was revealed in patients with MOC injuries.
