In this paper, the problem of nonlinear vibrations of an elastic rod of variable cross-section with a dynamic absorber under random effects is considered. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the dynamic absorber and select the optimal parameters of the system, analytical expressions for the mean square values of the variable function of amplitudes and absolute acceleration of the rod are determined.
