This article presents the results of a scientific study evaluating the relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and the frequency of exacerbations of respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), based on an analysis of clinical data. The study also assesses the effectiveness of proton pump inhibitors and prokinetics.
