Annotatsiya

This article presents an analysis of factors influencing mutual trade between the Republic of Uzbekistan andthe CIS countries in 2017–2023. The methodological framework is based on gravity modeling of trade flows using threespecifications: pooled OLS, fixed-effects (FE), and random-effects (RE) models. The Hausman test validates the adequacyof the random-effects model for interpreting the impact of various factors on mutual trade. Gravity modeling revealedquantitative effects of several key factors affecting trade interactions, including the effects of a country's membershipin the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the presence of a common border, non-tariff barriers, transport infrastructure,Western economic sanctions against Russia, the COVID-19 pandemic, and FDI inflows
