Cultural legacy, urban development, and tourism-driven economies are all crucially connected in historical cities.Through case studies of Florence (Italy), Lviv (Ukraine), and Granada (Spain), this study analyses global experiencesin cultural preservation and urban management. The study identifies best practices and widespread problems inmanaging historical urban environments through a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative indicators(tourism statistics, conservation funding, visitor capacity) and qualitative data (policy analysis, expert interviews, andhistorical documentation). In order to preserve ancient cities while maintain economic viability, the results emphasize thesignificance of integrated governance, community involvement, and sustainable tourism methods
