The purpose of this work was to study the microbiological purity and antimicrobial activity of the infusion from the aerial part of lophathus anisatus. Determination of the antimicrobial action of the infusion from the aerial part of lophanthus anisatus was carried out by diffusion into agar against certain types of bacteria; Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida. An infusion from the aerial part of lophanthus anisatus showed antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli – 22.0 mm. growth inhibition zone diameter, Staphylococcus aureus – 7.0 mm., Candida albicans – 28.0 mm. Staphylococcus epidermidis – 10.0 mm., Bacillus subtilis – 10 mm. On the basis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the studied infusion from the aerial part of lophanthus anisatus has a pronounced antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans, moderate antibacterial activity against some gram-negative enterobacteria and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms
