The aim of the research was to study the effectiveness of longitudinal gastrectomy in patients with morbid obesity (MO). This scientific work is based on the results of a comprehensive examination and treatment of 187 patients with MO who were treated in our clinical bases from 2021 to 2023. Of these, 13 (14%) were men and 79 (86%) were women. The age of the operated patients ranged from 21 to 60 years (average 36.3 ± 5.2 years). Data analysis shows that grade III obesity prevails in patients with MO (49 (53.2%)). Analysis of comorbid pathology in patients with morbid obesity shows that 133 (70.1%) patients had one or more concomitant diseases. Longitudinal gastrectomy is a very promising and highly effective operation used in the treatment of patients with MO. When analyzing the dynamics of concomitant diseases in combination with existing morbid obesity in patients 18 months after the procedure of Laparoscopic longitudinal resection of the stomach - in the control group arterial hypertension 46.8%, arthralgia 45.2%, dyslipidemia - 43%, ischemic heart disease -36%, prediabetes - 68%, depressive state - 65%, sleep apnea syndrome - 73%, decreased libido - 55%, GERD - 68%, and in patients of the main group - arterial hypertension 58%, arthralgia 50%, dyslipidemia - 48%, ischemic heart disease - 38%, prediabetes - 71%, depressive state - 71%, sleep apnea syndrome - 78%, decreased libido in 58%, GERD - in 73% of cases show complete remission. Possible complications after PRZH are anemia, hypoproteinemia and vitamin deficiency, which can be easily replenished by conservative methods.
