Annotatsiya

Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in preterm infants. The emergence of COVID–19 has introduced new challenges in the perinatal period, particularly regarding the respiratory health of newborns born to infected mothers. This article explores the clinical features, underlying mechanisms, and potential outcomes of RDS in neonates exposed to SARS–CoV–2. A review of current literature and clinical case reports highlights the potential for increased RDS risk, altered inflammatory responses, and implications for early diagnosis and management strategies in COVID–19–positive perinatal cases.
