This article analyzes the legal framework and mechanisms of legal monitoring in the legislation of the CIS member states. Based on the experience of various countries, the role of the institution of legal monitoring in achieving the effectiveness of law enforcement practice is demonstrated. In addition, the views of scientists in this area were studied, and appropriate proposals and recommendations were given as a result of the analysis of foreign experience in improving the regulatory framework and mechanisms for legal monitoring in the legislation of the CIS member states.
