This article examines and analyses Malaysia’s legal system and parallels its impact on the implementation of public policies of intercultural tolerance. In particular, it examines the impact of legal culture on multiculturalism policies implemented in society. Among other things, the formation of legal culture in the region is examined and examples are given. The process of formation of legal status of an individual is analysed.
