The role of game methodology in the development of preschool age children

Annotatsiya

This article sets out the place of play methodology in the all-round development of preschool-age children. It substantiates that play is not merely an entertaining activity for the child but also an important pedagogical means for the child's cognitive, communicative, emotional and physical development. The article analyses methodological approaches such as didactic, role-playing, active, construction and board games and reveals their role in developing the basic skills of children. The role of the educator in the play process and its importance in achieving pedagogical goals are also indicated. The article likewise includes recommendations on the effective use of play methodology in preschool educational institutions.
