We have developed a method for the use of a polycomposite polymer based on cellulose derivatives in thermal injuries. We used Hemoben to stop bleeding during necrectomy and alloplasty of a skin flap in patients with third-degree burns. In severe thermal injuries, DIC syndrome develops, requiring appropriate correction of hemostasis. Under these conditions, the use of Hemoben during necrectomy and autodermoplasty significantly increased the effectiveness of therapy, shortened the stay of the victims in hospital and reduced mortality. The mechanism of the positive action of the drug is connected with its influence on the extrinsic and intrinsic pathways of coagulation hemostasis and with its adhesive capacity, which ensures rapid and complete engraftment of the transplant.
