At the multidisciplinary clinic of SamSMU, a method of treating low rectovaginal fistulas by means of the pull-down of a full-fledged mucomuscular flap was used. Seven female patients aged from 30 to 54 years (mean age 38.8±7.9 years) with a diagnosis of rectovaginal fistula were operated on. The size of the fistula was up to 0.8-1.1 cm in diameter. No complications or recurrences were observed in the studied group of patients.
