Burn injury remains a significant medical and economic problem. Patients with burn disease have a high rate of complications and high mortality. The article discusses the issues of the diagnosis and treatment of burn shock and multiple organ failure in patients with thermal injury. In addition, some aspects of pathogenesis are covered and high-technology methods are considered.
