The article investigates the physicochemical properties of wastes and secondary products generated in the oil and fat industry. Their composition, processing potential, and methods for producing surface-active agents (surfactants) based on these materials are analyzed. The study examines the properties of surfactants obtained from gossypol resin and soapstock depending on their concentration and type. It was established that the efficiency of surfactants is determined by their concentration and interaction with other substances. The results indicate that an increase in concentration leads to a decrease in surface activity, which is associated with surface distribution characteristics and chemical properties of the substances. Surfactants play a significant role in material modification and effective optimization of technological processes in various polymer and chemical systems. Rational processing of industrial waste not only reduces environmental impact but also creates opportunities for producing domestic surfactants as import-substituting products.
