This article explores the lexicon changes in 21st-century Royal English, analyzing the evolving balancebetween tradition and modernity. The study highlights the integration of contemporary terminology related to sustainability,digital communication, and socio-political themes into formal royal discourse, driven by societal expectations andglobal challenges. Using a corpus of royal speeches from 2000–2023 and expert surveys, the research identifies keytrends, challenges, and public perceptions. It also discusses the implications of these linguistic adaptations for culturalidentity and formal communication. The article offers solutions for maintaining linguistic heritage while embracing progress,emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and strategic language guidelines. This comprehensiveanalysis contributes to the discourse on language evolution, highlighting Royal English as a case study of formal registersadapting to contemporary realities.
