Annotatsiya

Kidney damage in preeclampsia (PE) remains a pressing problem in modern obstetrics and nephrology due to its high prevalence (2-14% of all pregnancies) and unpredictability. The pathogenesis of kidney damage in PE has practically not been studied, as has the balance of pro- and antiangiogenic factors, which are considered today as one of the main pathogenetic mechanisms of PE. The article presents modern data on the pathogenesis of kidney damage in preeclampsia, the influence of the sFlt-1/VEGF system imbalance on the clinical manifestations of nephropathy in PE.
