Annotatsiya

Article explores the phenomenon of borrowed words in English and Uzbek vocabulary. Borrowed words, or loanwords, are adopted from one language into another, reflecting cultural, historical, and social interactions. The paper examines the sources, types, adaptation processes, and semantic changes of borrowed words in both languages. English borrowings are mostly fully integrated, while Uzbek borrowings often undergo phonetic, morphological, and semantic adaptation. Modern globalization and technological development have increased the number of English borrowings in Uzbek. The research in article highlights the role of borrowed words in enriching vocabulary, language development, and cross-cultural communication.
