Stroke is one of the most common neurological diseases with high prevalence, disability and mortality, which is an urgent medical and social problem. The incidence of stroke ranges to 20 percent of people aged 55 to 64 years, increasing over 45 percent among people over 85 years of age. Stroke, depending on the nature and localization, causes a wide range of neurological disorders associated with physical disability, as well as a variety of cognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders that impede rehabilitation, household and social adaptation and the quality of life of both the patients themselves and those caring for them.
