Migraine is a chronic neurological disease characterized by frequent attacks of unilateral throbbing headache, aggravated by exercise, accompanied by photophobia, phonophobia, nausea, vomiting, and in some patients even skin allodynia. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is the most abundant neurotrophin in the central and peripheral nervous system. BDNF plays an important role in the control of neuronal activity. In addition to influencing neuronal development and differentiation, BDNF also plays an important role in the modulation of pain signals. The purpose of study: to study the role and significance of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the clinical course of migraine. Study of sexual changes in BMNO in migraine. Materials and methods: 78 patients with episodic migraine aged 18 to 44 years (mean age 32.8±7.8 years) were selected for the study. The control group consisted of 30 healthy volunteers (mean age 29.9±3.7 years). All patients were diagnosed by a neurologist using the International Classification of Headache Disorders. Conclusion: During a migraine attack, there was an increase in the concentration of BMNO in the blood serum of patients. This, in turn, leads to a decrease in the quality of life of patients with acute migraine and a decrease in the effectiveness of treatment.
