Chronic kidney disease (CKD) causes a serious blow to the patient not only physically, but also spiritually, that is, mentally. CKD is a problem that should be dealt with not only by nephrologists, but also by neuropathologists and psychotherapists. During the study, 52 patients with stage 5 CKD treated with programmed hemodialysis in an institution were selected as group 1, and 39 patients who underwent BAT were selected as 2-th group. At the beginning of the study and six months later, psychodiagnostic testing of the mental state of patients according to the hospital Spielberger-Hanin and HADS scales, as well as quality of life, was carried out with the support of special SF-36 evaluation questionnaires, and the earlier the correct choice of the optimal treatment procedure for patients with SBK will be made
