This article analyzes the role of satirical journalism in the life of society, as well as its significance in covering political processes. In addition, it addresses the issue of how mass media adapt to traditions and new factors. In this process, satirical journalistic genres are rapidly adjusting to the times. They develop in harmony with society, reflecting the way of life of the people. It should be noted that satirical journalism is one of the main genres that figuratively depict various phenomena in society through the means of satire and humor. The potential and impact of satirical journalism become especially evident in the coverage of political processes.
