The article examines the adaptation of foreign lexicon in the Russian language on the basis of Russian-language mass media materials, and also analyzes the influence of lexicon acquired from a foreign language on the development of the Russian language, emphasizing their importance in the process of enriching the lexical content of the language. The study includes the analysis of changes in the semantics of words, which shows the dynamics of language development.
