This article describes the scientifc research of the Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan, Professor Nuriddin Shukurov, not only as a brilliant researcher of Uzbek literature of the XX century, but also as a researcher who foresaw the prospects of literary processes, painstakingly studied Uzbek classical literature, capable of comprehensive reflection and observations on this topic. The article reflects, in particular, the scientist’s views on the work of the classics of our literature Navoi and Babur, on the poetics of classical poetry, on the weight of Aruz, as well as on the recognition of these studies by literary critics.
