This article analyzes the views of the literary scholar Olim Sharafddinov on the last and greatest epic of Alisher Navoi “Khamsa” “Saddi Iskandariy”. It is a comparative study of the scholar’s views on the semantic-genre and artistic features of this great epic of Hamsa. At the same time, the place of Olim Sharafddinov’s views in modern Navoi studies is assessed.
