Our study examined proverbs with anthroponym components from the lexical-semantic side. Proverbs with an anthroponymic component are more expressive, because the name in them expresses the person more truly, i.e. specifies it. We looked at the antonymous side of proverbs with anthroponym components.When analyzing the antonymy of proverbs, we studied the works of linguist scientists and their different points of view. We came to the conclusion that we mainly examined antonymity within one proverb, but we identified proverbs that are antonyms using the example of pairs of proverbs and came to the conclusion that there are many of them in the literature we are considering.1
