The article analysis the possibility of understanding the age, profession, gender, social status, psyche, mentality, national-cultural views of the characters created by the author in the artistic text. It is expressed that the artistic speech can create a general idea even about the writer’s language knowledge, linguistic ability and language skills, and can show the level of his formation as a linguistic personality.
