Annotatsiya

This article analyzes modern lexical borrowings in English and Uzbek, as well as their cognitive characteristics. In the course of the research, the penetration of assimilated units into the language system as a result of globalization, technological progress, and intercultural relations, as well as their semantic and functional aspects, are studied. Based on a comparative and cognitive linguistic approach, borrowings are interpreted not only as new words but also as carriers of new concepts and knowledge models. The article highlights the role of English as a donor language, as well as the grammatical adaptation of borrowings in Uzbek and their activity in speech. The results show that modern borrowings not only serve to enrich the language but also reflect conceptual changes in human thinking.
