The rapid growth of tourism sector impels to study the matters regarding the socioeconomic efficiency of tourism activity at the varying levels of economic management. One of the key tasks is to determine the concept, indicators and criterias applied for the socioeconomic efficiency of tourism industry, as well as to explore its relationship with other industries. The article aims to clarify these issues. So, indicators of economic and social blocks that can be used to express the effectiveness of tourism activities are analyzed.
