The formation of entrepreneurship as a separate type of activity refers to the period of the emergence of simple forms of the division of labor. Entrepreneurship as a type of activity has acquired a special socio-economic content due to the peculiarities of the social structure that existed in different periods. The relevance of the analysis of the features of the development of entrepreneurship as a type of activity and its theoretical and methodological study is increasing. However, the study of entrepreneurship as an activity in isolation from the social structure of society creates certain difficulties. Indeed, the historical roots of this type of activity are explained by the development of productive forces and the social conditions of society.
