The article substantiates the importance of water resources at the global and Uzbek levels, the important role of water in ensuring environmental and economic stability at the global and local levels, and the fact that water is a necessary factor for socio-economic development and contributes to almost all sustainable development goals. Problems in water resources management at the global and Uzbek levels are studied. Based on the results of the study, proposals are made aimed at the effective use of water and achieving sustainable development goals.
