This paper examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in global procurement processes and its potential applications in the economy of Uzbekistan. AI can significantly improve procurement efficiency by automating tasks, optimizing supply chains, and improving decision-making processes. The paper reviews the existing literature on AI trends in global procurement and analyzes the opportunities and challenges faced by Uzbekistan. This paper is based on a qualitative analysis of how AI can contribute to modernizing procurement practices in the public and private sectors of Uzbekistan, based on case studies and a literature review. The study shows that while AI can bring great benefits, there is a need to overcome technological and human resource barriers in Uzbekistan.
