Parkinson's disease (PD) affects about 1-2% of the population over 65 years old and up to 3-5% of people aged 85 years and older. PD is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by a combination of motor and non-motor symptoms. According to published data, non-motor symptoms (NMS) are detected in 70-100% of patients with PD. The main clinical symptoms of PD are well known, but it is necessary to continue to study changes in symptoms as they progress. Cognitive disorders, such as memory, attention and decreased intelligence, are characterized by progressive dementia. The aim of our study was to compare the various neuropsychological effects of treatment with L-Dopa and DA (rotigotine or cabergoline), regardless of the possible influence of the motor condition; therefore, in each patient, the drug regimes were adjusted to obtain similar motor characteristics with DA and L-dopa.
