Ҳозирги кунда тиббиёт муассасаларида тайёрланаётган кадрларнинг салоҳияти ва амалий тажрибаси иш берувчининг талабларига, таъбир жоиз бўлса, рақобатбардошлигига мувофиқ бўлиши талаб этилмоқда. Бу даражадаги етук кадрларни етиштириш учун улар замонавий ташхислаш, даволаш ва профилактика кўникмаларни мукаммал эгаллаш билан бирга, ахборот технологияларидан хабардор бўлишлари ва хориж тилларини билмоқлари лозим. Бу муаммоларнинг ечими Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президентининг «Республика тиббиёт муассасалари фаолиятини ташкил этишни такомиллаштириш чора-тадбирлари тўғрисида» 2007 йил 2 октябрдаги ПҚ-700-сон қарорида, Вазирлар Маҳкамасининг 2009 йил 18 декабрдаги “Тиббиёт ходимлари малакасини ошириш ва уларни қайта тайёрлаш тизимини такомиллаштириш тўғрисида”ги 319 - сон қарорида ўз аксини топган.
