Одним из основных направлений ортодонтии является профилактика и раннее лечение аномалий и деформаций зубочелюстной системы. В условиях прогрессивно возрастающего уровня ортодонтической заболеваемости населения [1,3-6.9,10] совершенствование ортодонтической помощи детям в рамках программы обеспечения детей и подростков бесплатной стоматологической помощью приобретает особую актуальность [7,8]. Особое внимание следует уделять профилактике стоматологических заболеваний, которая требует гораздо меньших (в 5-6 раз) затрат, чем лечение. Программа профилактики кариеса, стартовавшая в 2013 г. на территории Бухарской области, уже доказала свою эффективность. Следует отметить и увеличение доступности ортодонтической помощи в г. Бухаре за последние несколько лет за счет повышения уровня укомплектованности службы специалистами.
