A number of controversial and contradictor}’ judgments remain in determining the mechanisms and patterns of development of preoperative psychoemotional state of patients. There is still no consensus about the objective assessment of preoperative emotional state of patients, and the existing classification based on one criteria — the symptoms. Although there was a consensus of researchers about the need for an individual (depending on the preoperative psychosocial status) sedation, is extremely controversial and difficult to define the methods of evaluation of its effectiveness, remains controversial and interpretation.
