In this article, the means and methods of improving the tactical, technical and psychological training of young judoists are considered. Tasks are set: 1) to substantiate the directions of improving the training of young judoists to improve the results of their competitive activities and sports skills; 2) to determine the directions of improving psychological training, as well as the structure of a comprehensive psychological and pedagogical methodology for optimizing the mental state of judoists. The following methods were used in the course of the study: analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature; pedagogical observations. Namely, a survey (conversation, questionnaire); analysis of competitive activities of judoists; testing of physical and psychological fitness; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical and statistical processing of research results.
