The article, based on historical works, travel diaries and other sources, highlights some issues of the social status of the population during the reign of the Ashtarkhanid dynasty. In particular, focusing on various social strata, their roles and places in the development of society, the factors that influenced the social status of the population are given. Their essence is analyzed, political, economic and natural reasons that led to the uneven development of society, which led to the deterioration of the social life of the population, the relationship of the economic crisis leading to the deterioration of the social life of the population is shown. It is also stated that in some periods of peace, the social status of the population has grown, and economic ties have strengthened. The information provided in the article will further serve to supplement materials published abroad.
