It is known that international cooperation has always been at the center of discussion of research in the two main liberal and realist schools. The dominance of the doctrine of liberalism in the seventies of the twentieth century was replaced by the theory of realism at the beginning of the 21st century. The problem of international cooperation has emerged as an independent scientific direction in the theory of international relations. The study of this problem has attracted the attention of scientists to such issues as the internal causes of cooperation, its place in the international environment that impedes or encourages development, the causes and consequences of factors leading to cooperation, forms and types. The article analyzes the problem of state image, which is of great importance in international relations.
